God's Blueprints For Our Future
“Ezekiel: Building A Wall That Stands In The Gap” Ezekiel 22:30; 40:1-5a; 43:12; 48:35 A builder builds from the blueprints designed by an architect. God is blueprinting Trinity and we are building from His design. This work is laid out through the external and internal blueprints for God Is Remodeling. External is the work being done for our buildings. Internal for what God is wanting to build in our lives. So we are in a new sermon series—“God’s Blueprints For Our Lives”. Around 587 B.C. Ezekiel lost all he had to discover all that God could provide. He was a priest serving in Jerusalem’s great Temple when he and his country were kidnapped and taken into the long Babylonian captivity. There God spoke to him in several ways, including - visions (“mar”). What God showed Ezekiel became the blueprint by which Jerusalem would be spiritually and physically rebuilt. What was the design: 1.) Build a wall that stands in the gap. What is “your gap” to close? ________________________________________________________________. Ezekiel 22:30 2.) Set your heart and mind on what God can build. ________________________________________________________________. Ezekiel 40:4 3.) Name your newly built city in honor of what God can do, “The Lord is here.” ________________________________________________________________. Ezekiel 43:12; 48:35

"I looked for someone among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found no one. In the twenty-fifth year of our exile, at the beginning of the year, on the tenth of the month, in the fourteenth year after the fall of the city—on that very day the hand of the lord was on me and he took me there. In visions of God he took me to the land of Israel and set me on a very high mountain, on whose south side were some buildings that looked like a city. He took me there, and I saw a man whose appearance was like bronze; he was standing in the gateway with a linen cord and a measuring rod in his hand. The man said to me, "Son of man, look carefully and listen closely and pay attention to everything I am going to show you, for that is why you have been brought here. Tell the people of Israel everything you see." I saw a wall completely surrounding the temple area. The length of the measuring rod in the man's hand was six long cubits, each of which was a cubit and a handbreadth. He measured the wall; it was one measuring rod thick and one rod high. "This is the law of the temple: All the surrounding area on top of the mountain will be most holy. Such is the law of the temple. "The distance all around will be 18,000 cubits. "And the name of the city from that time on will be: the lord is there."
