Daily Prayer
Dear Jesus, help me to be aware of those You want to embrace through me. Amen.
Psalm 98
Psalm 98:1-9 NIV
Sing to the lord a new song, for he has done marvelous things; his right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him. The lord has made his salvation known and revealed his righteousness to the nations. He has remembered his love and his faithfulness to Israel; all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God. Shout for joy to the lord, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music; make music to the lord with the harp, with the harp and the sound of singing, with trumpets and the blast of the ram's horn— shout for joy before the lord, the King. Let the sea resound, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it. Let the rivers clap their hands, let the mountains sing together for joy; let them sing before the lord, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples with equity.
Isaiah 66:18-23
Isaiah 66:18-23 NIV
"And I, because of what they have planned and done, am about to come and gather the people of all nations and languages, and they will come and see my glory. "I will set a sign among them, and I will send some of those who survive to the nations—to Tarshish, to the Libyans and Lydians (famous as archers), to Tubal and Greece, and to the distant islands that have not heard of my fame or seen my glory. They will proclaim my glory among the nations. And they will bring all your people, from all the nations, to my holy mountain in Jerusalem as an offering to the lord—on horses, in chariots and wagons, and on mules and camels," says the lord. "They will bring them, as the Israelites bring their grain offerings, to the temple of the lord in ceremonially clean vessels. And I will select some of them also to be priests and Levites," says the lord. "As the new heavens and the new earth that I make will endure before me," declares the lord, "so will your name and descendants endure. From one New Moon to another and from one Sabbath to another, all mankind will come and bow down before me," says the lord.
Romans 15:7-13
Romans 15:7-13 NIV
Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God. For I tell you that Christ has become a servant of the Jews on behalf of God's truth, so that the promises made to the patriarchs might be confirmed and, moreover, that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy. As it is written: "Therefore I will praise you among the Gentiles; I will sing the praises of your name." Again, it says, "Rejoice, you Gentiles, with his people." And again, "Praise the Lord, all you Gentiles; let all the peoples extol him." And again, Isaiah says, "The Root of Jesse will spring up, one who will arise to rule over the nations; in him the Gentiles will hope." May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
John 15:1-6
John 15:1-6 NIV
"I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful. You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. "I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned.
