Matthew 7:21-23
Matthew 7:21-23 NIV
"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day, 'Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name and in your name drive out demons and in your name perform many miracles?' Then I will tell them plainly, 'I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!'
Knowing Him
This is the most important part of the will of God. Trust is hard, but His sacrifice has earned your trust.
(I) Peace and rest
Matthew 11:28-30 MSG
"Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly." (II) Manifest the Father’s glory to the world
2 Corinthians 3:17-18 NIV
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
(III) Protection from the accusers
Psalm 31:19-20 NIV
How abundant are the good things that you have stored up for those who fear you, that you bestow in the sight of all, on those who take refuge in you. In the shelter of your presence you hide them from all human intrigues; you keep them safe in your dwelling from accusing tongues.
(IV) Confidence, hope and security
Psalm 91:1-5 NIV
Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust." Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence. He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day,
(V) Pure joy

What's happening in church life?
(1) Welcome Guests
We’d like to extend a warm welcome to all our guests. Please visit the Guest Corner in the foyer after the service to collect a Guest Pack. Our hosts for today are Vicky & Murray.
(2) India Mission (8-15 February 2013)
We are sending a mission to Visakhpatnam in South East India from Fri, 8 Feb 2013 through Fri, 15 Feb 2013. The purpose will be to build partnership with Love ‘n Care Ministries in reaching India. We have a financial target of R100 000 for the mission team. Please pray as we prepare for the trip. You can speak to David Russell for any info.
