Do you know for sure?
1 John 5:13-15 NLT
I have written this to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know you have eternal life. And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him. And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for.
The Walking Dead
Our life is meant to be more than it is. But it's not just about improving our lives. It's about becoming alive in the first place!
Red pill or blue pill?
Have you ever wondered if you were experiencing all the life that you were meant to? What are the indicators that you know you are "alive in Christ?"
What is eternal life?
We quickly put the phrase "eternal life" into the "after this life" category. Especially when we read the second half of the passage. Because it doesn't seem to match up with this life, we think eternal life happens at some other point. What if Jesus' emphasis was on the word "life" itself?
Life Expereienced
1 John 1:1-4 NLT
We proclaim to you the one who existed from the beginning, whom we have heard and seen. We saw him with our own eyes and touched him with our own hands. He is the Word of life. This one who is life itself was revealed to us, and we have seen him. And now we testify and proclaim to you that he is the one who is eternal life. He was with the Father, and then he was revealed to us. We proclaim to you what we ourselves have actually seen and heard so that you may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son, Jesus Christ. We are writing these things so that you may fully share our joy.
It's not about winning or dominating...

The source of life
John 1:1-5 NLT
In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He existed in the beginning with God. God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him. The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.
Life lost!
Genesis 2:6-7 NLT
Instead, springs came up from the ground and watered all the land. Then the LORD God formed the man from the dust of the ground. He breathed the breath of life into the man’s nostrils, and the man became a living person.
2 agendas in the universe:
John 10:10 NLT
The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life.
