About this Group

Youth Group at Inverness Presbyterian Church, for all students in 6th-12th grade. Impacted By Christ. Impacting For Christ. Join us as these next several weeks as we work our way through the book of James in a series titled "Lessons learned from my big brother." We're going to spend this year (and probably the next few years) learning how the words in the Bible, what God has to say to us, really does make a difference in how we live our lives. This (for the most part) won't be the topical, "if you feel sad, pray" messages that many youth groups give. Instead, we believe that you guys are smart enough to do the work to see how and why we get the answers "church people" sometimes give - and where those typical "church answers" fall short. It'll be a little more work, but we think it's the right way to go and 1000% worth it. This isn't about getting the right answer. It's about living life. We're striving to create students who have been impacted by Jesus Christ (is that you?), and who are impacting their world for Jesus Christ (Is that you?) We as a Youth Group can't make you that, but our goal is to help as the Holy Spirit moves in your life. So come hang out, play games, join us in worship and then watch the Spirit of God move as we open up the Word of God, all to the Glory of God. In other words, it's gonna be fun :)
